  1. Open Sales Hub: Launch the Sales Hub app.
  2. Go to Settings: Click on App Settings in the left menu.
  3. Turn on Copilot: Look for Copilot in the settings and click on it.
  4. Enable Preview Features: Check the box that says, “Try our newest preview features…” to make sure the account summary feature is available.

  6. Manage Apps: In the Manage Apps section of the Sales Hub, set Chat to “Yes”.
  7. By following these steps, we will enable the AI-generated account summary feature, allowing

Understanding Account Previews: Properties and Settings

In Dynamics 365 Sales, the Account entity offers a detailed overview with two key tabs. Let’s explore the features and settings available in each tab to better understand its capabilities.

Summary Tab

The Summary tab provides a streamlined grid view where you can customize the fields displayed in the account summary. Here’s how you can configure it:

  • Record Type: Set this to Entity to define the type of data displayed.
  • Fields: Choose between 4 to 10 fields to appear in the summary. These fields play a key role in showcasing the most important account information at a glance.

  • Remove a Field: Hover over a field in the grid to reveal the delete icon, then click it to remove the field.

You can personalize the account view further by adding or removing related details. Choose from
these four options:

  • Enriched Key Info: Highlights essential details like the joining date and other selected fields.
  • Opportunities:Displays all open opportunities tied to the account.
  • Leads:Shows leads connected to the account.
  • Cases:Lists active cases associated with the account.

How to Use the AI-Generated Account Summary

  1. Navigate to the Account Entity:

  3. Open Copilot:
  4. Locate Copilot on the right side of the account form and open it to access its powerful
    features.

  5. Generate the Summary:
  6. In the Copilot chat, simply type “Summarize Account” to create a detailed summary. This will
    showcase key account information, highlight selected fields, and provide insights into related
    data such as opportunities, leads, and cases—all in one place.

    Get a complete picture of related data with ease.

    • Explore Opportunities, Leads, and Cases: Click the dropdown arrow next to the related
      information to expand the list.
    • Generate Summaries: Hover over any item and click the Summarize button to view detailed
      insights for opportunities, leads, or cases connected to the account.
